Our Scripting
Below is our script for our horror opening, including stage directions, speech and flashback scenes

Script with Stage Directions for Our Horror Opening
Key:
Red Writing – Flashback Scenes
Black Italic Writing – Stage Directions
Normal UN bold Writing - Speech

Fades In - Panoramic shot of the Church front (Camera Steadily goes across)
-          Faintly hearing in the background a little girl humming (Singing a slightly creepy Nursery Rhyme)
We see the little girl beginning to walk into the church entrance, whilst holding an old teddy bear and flowers
Her singing begins to fade, as she begins to start talking to herself under her breath

Little Girl: “Do you think mummy will like these flowers”

The First Flashback Occurs (The Woods): There would be heavy breathing, heartbeats getting faster, heavy footsteps and surrounding noises… With the little girl beginning to run in front view of the camera.
The camera follows the girl walking within the woods however we are never going to be seeing her face.

Back to the Graveyard – The little girl is still talking to herself, shots of her feet holding her teddy bear.

Little Girl: “I think so to, I know she will like these flowers”

The Little girl is humming itsy bitsy spider up until she starts talking

Another Flashback Occurs: Surrounding sounds around the area, with a close up from behind her walking within the woods
Back to the Graveyard – The girl slowly walks towards the grave and starts talking

Little Girl: “Mummy always likes it when I visit her” (Stops Walking)

*flash of an image of man standing in door way*
 (Back to the present)

Little Girl: “But…Daddy doesn't” (carry’s on walking and talking)

The girl suddenly turns towards a tree and stares (This would be a point of shot view)
The Little girl arrives and kneels down at the grave (She starts to talk, leaning the teddy bear against the grave)

Little Girl: “Hello mummy…(Silence/pause)… yeah, I missed you to, Do you like the flowers I got you?”

Third Flashback: Still standing near a tree, background noises stops (Silence) and strange laughing begins to appear
The Little girl looks behind her (Still not showing her face)
Then a close up camera shot of a male’s black shoes, the little girl begins to start running (The Camera follows her from behind)

Back to the grave – She begins to start humming to herself quietly. Something flickers within the corner of her eye and turns to face the tree.
A silhouette of a male in darkness is leaning against the tree watching the girl.
The Camera turns back towards the girl at the grave, getting up quickly whist grabbing onto her teddy bear that she placed down shouting as she gets up

Little Girl: “no, no, no” (Under her breath)

The fourth Flashback: The girl is running and she trips over something amongst the ground (Arms come up to cover/protect her face/head)

Present Day back to the Graveyard – She turns away from the man and begins to start running holding her teddy bear.
She falls over and trips, (Arms come up to cover/protect her face/head) reminds you of her recently doing this within the flashback…
She turns around and gets her knees up, as feet start coming towards her (We are still not going to be seeing her face)

Fifth Flashback: She turns around whilst on the ground after falling over, and starts to scrape backwards, trying to escape.
The camera takes a close up shot of the male’s shoes, as he begins to walk towards her beginning to say something.

The Silhouette: “Sorry my little bird, this is how it has to be”

Sweeping camera shot of the man’s feet to the ground and the little girl’s feet marks where she has been going backwards.
The little girl begins to rise (without seeing her face) saying something

Little Girl: “Please don’t, please…”

Present Day – The girl begins to rock backwards and forwards after falling over as the man walks over to her and stops in front of her.
The girl begins to look up “Not seeing her face) and the male has disappeared.

Sixth Flashback: The girl backs into a corner of some ruins of an abandoned Shack as she still mutters to herself

Little Girl: “no, no, no…please”

A Panoramic screen shot of the male standing in front of the little girl, however only seeing the male in the distance.
The girl begins to go into a foetal position as she begins to realise there is nothing she can do

Present Day - She hears something to the side of her after falling over and turns to get up cuddling tightly to her teddy bear
Camera shot of where she is looking and nothing is there, camera shot goes down to her feet as she begins to take a step forward
A hand grabs her, she falls to the ground. The Laughing starts to appear again…
The man takes a step closer, with a camera shot of only the knife in his hand (Bloodied) this shot carries through to the end. Whilst the little girl screams

Little Girl: “DADDY NO”

The screen then blacks out with the production logo “Archangels Productions” appearing and the title of the film “HUNTED” The song of Itsy bitsy spider would be playing amongst this appearance.

Our Storyboard
Below is our video of the storyboard we have created. With this creation it has enabled us to be able to plan our opening, with how exactly how it shall be scene by scene. Therefore this would make things easier for when we film because we would know what we want and what is going to be happening...

Actor Permission Slip

Whilst we was planning for our Horror opening and when it came to choosing the characters, we chose to have a little girl (Elle Burton) who is in year 7. Therefore we needed permission from her parents/Guardians so below shows the form that we created for them.

Cast Photographs

Below is an image of who we have decided to cast as our little girl who is going to be played my Elle Burton
This is who have decided to play the role of the little girl this is because of how we wanted to portray a little innocent girl, and choosing this actor to play her showed that she was suitable for the role as she is a shy and venerable girl who this is what we need for our little girl character to include within her. As well she is a Year 7 pupil and she would be suitable for the age range of the girl we wanted to cast for her so she was the perfect match as she is a small character and can be scared and would play the role with brilliant acting.

Below is who we have also decided to cast as our male Silhouette and he is going to be played by Yr 12 student Tyler Long
This was because he has adult characteristics to him and is easily good a portraying a unhappy (Even thought we don't she his face) However he will have the postures and gestures of an angry mysterious man and would play the role seriously for how the character needs to be portrayed as the unknown, mysterious character and within playing this role it need adult features to be part of the little girl and he was the suitable choice for this decision that we have decided to take.

This is what they look like standing beside each other. The reason why we have decided to take this photo to show is to explain why we chose this characters when looking at their size in height. Which Elle as you can see was perfect to play the role of being innocent and showing that she is small is making her seem more venerable. Whereas looking at Tyler when we wanting to cast the character of the silhouette we wanted to look for someone who could show power and mystery and Tyler was the perfect choice to play this role by being tall towards Elle showing that he has some power over the little girl...

Actual Filming Costumes:

Below shows an image of what the little girl's costume was during filming...

As you can see from this image we had to make many changes to the costume to what we had originally planned for her. However, we still wanted to go with the idea of wearing white, as the innocence needed to be shown and this would of needed the colour white, so we gained a white jumper, scarf and socks, this allowed us to still capture that image the best that we could to how we wanted her to look. The only changes was adding jeans which this still connotes a primary and happy colour and still having the idea of having her hair down to cover her face/identity. However this was an outtake video shown above so her face is on show.

Below shows the Male silhouette's actual Costume:

With this image of our male silhouette we can still see that we have gone with the idea of having him as this dark, mysterious and unknown character and this was shown through this image. As we wanted him to be a silhouette we mainly made his clothing all black, so he would unseen as much and represented as this dark, powerful, dominant character. However, the only thing that has been changed was him not having a red tie this was because we wanted his character to look like an unknown shadow, instead of boldly being stood out amongst the shots.

Our Font Planning

As a group we have decided to choose what font we wanted for our horror opening and this is the outcome that we have decided to do:

The reason that we have decided to go for this font is because we wanted to go for the mystery, supernatural effect. By designing this it helped enable that we could link in the idea of supernatural themes into our font for our title. This is because when looking at what our story line is going to be, this is that our male and little character are going to be unknown towards the audience however they are linked in, by making the font title seem mysterious and giving it that fading effect it shows that this is being linked in with the idea of mystery and because the genre of our film is going to be about the idea of supernatural and by linking the ideas of mystery and supernatural into one title this was the outcome of what happened when we designed our title.

When we look at this we can also see the link between our title and our productions logo font this is because we needed to base them both around our genre and by making them both on the similar font it empathizes to the audience what our genre is going to be because of what we wanted to choose.

Therefore, we have decided that this font choice is suitable for what we wanted to added in to our idea. We just needed to focus our font ideas around supernatural and mysterious to create and our title and this was the outcome that we decided to go with which makes it more effective for the audience and for them to grasp an idea for themselves what our film is going to be based around.
Mise-En-Scene Planning

Planning for Hair Costume and Make - Up

For our characters we have only planned a few things for this. The reason for this is because we have decided that when looking at the characters within the opening most of them are not going to be seen.
For example, for our unknown silhouette male, we have decided to make is characters unknown, so by doing this we are going to be not seeing his face at all we are only going to slightly be seeing his costume slightly, which is going to be a business suit. The reason we have decided to do this is because we want our opening to be based around past events, to connote the idea of the past we look at it as black and white, so to be able to make the male unknown we needed to think about this, and our ideas were to make him like a shadow figure in the distance, however only seeing slight sight of his clothing as we are not going to be showing his face throughout the opening, so no make up was needing to be involved for him.
Below is an image of how we have planned before to what we would like our male character to be like:

The final outcome of our what our male character shall look like will be posted soon...

Whereas for the character of our little girl we wanted to make her a little different with the ideas that we have decided to create. The idea that we got is because when thinking about our opening being based around past events we needed to think about this so we decided to give her an olden era look to her costume, which this is going to be a plain white dress, with possible mud patches on her. We have decided to use the plain white because this is going to connote that she is an innocent little girl and with the dress being small it is going to show that she is a venerable as skin shall be shown. We wanted the audience to feel like she is no danger to anything however also being seen as an innocent little girl but the audience would want to know who she is. Within the dress we are considering to include mud stains, which this would show that she has been in danger, or has been running from something. With this in mind, we are also not going to be showing her face throughout the opening this is because we want her to be and unknown character like the male however thinking about the clothing that is needed to make the audience gather hints to who she is and what she is doing? Therefore, by doing this they are then able to learn from her costume, but there will be possible camera shots of the back of her running. this will be showing her hair, we have chose to have her hair down as most girls would of been like that we want to base her around the past and make her feel like she is in danger, showing that she is covering her face up more thinking about the idea of being venerable. Therefore, she is going to be not needing any make up on her.

Below is an image of how we have planned before to what we would like our little girl character to be like:

The final outcome of our what our little girl character shall look like will be posted soon...
Our Prop Planning

As a Group we have decided to think about planning the props that we would like to use in our horror opening.
We had to think about what best suited what our story line was going to be and to best fit in with our characters.

So as an outcome to this let me explain the props that we have planned to use in within our horror opening:

 1. The Teddy Bear - We have decided to have a teddy bear which is going to be old and damaged this is going to link in with the idea about the past, which is what our story is going to be based around. The teddy bear will the resemble the idea of horror, as looking at most horrors, who include children they always include a child's toy so we decided to go with what a normal little girl would have and this is going to be a teddy. We wanted to to have the teddy bear as what the little girl is going to be holding throughout the opening and link this prop in with the out slogan of "The Past Never Let's Go"

2. Flowers - The second prop we have considered to use is some flowers, we have thought about these because in the opening we see our little girl going to visit her mum's grave, which the flowers that she is going to be holding is what she would place on her mum's grave. This would help the audience to understand that she is going to be holding and giving flowers out of sympathy, with them wondering what happened to her mum.

3. A Kitchen Knife - The final prop that we have considered for our opening is a kitchen knife. We have used this prop for the silhouette male in our opening who is going to be unseen, just to be seen as a shadow. So this knife that we are going to be including will have blood dripping at the end of the knife, which this prop will be included at the ending of our opening, this is because the camera is going to be closing in on the knife and lowering down to where the blood is dripping, with the company name "Archangels Productions" and the title of the film shall appear "Hunted". So by doing this at the end people would wonder why this strange silhouette male has a knife dripping with blood, maybe this could be a murder weapon?

The other equipment that we shall be needing is the filming schedule. This will be used to help out the directors for when they are needing to know what is happening when the filming is taking place, so they know what shots are happening and how long they are going to go on for, so needing this is a vital resource that we shall need.

Our Equipment that is needed
As our group the equipment that we have decided to have and why we choose to have these are explained and included below:

The first is to have our set of Cameras - The reason why these are needed is because we would need to be able to film our shots, with having a variety or a high amount of cameras we would be able to shoot shots from different perspectives and areas located around the area we have chosen to film.

The other piece of equipment that we need is the tripod. This would be needed because we need something the settle the camera on. This would also enable to us to be able to take high or low shots and move the camera's around steadily amongst each of the shots.

The next equipment that we considered was spare batteries. This is because if we are filming we need to be able to have spare as if the camera runs out of batteries or our lights run out then at least we would have batteries with us so we can still be able to use them.

We also considered have spare memory cards. This is because if we are filming we need to have enough memory in our card, at least taking a spare we are then able to film more shots without worrying about loosing what we believed to film, at least we wouldn't need to worry about loosing our filming scenes.

We would also need to consider having flash lights. This is because we are planning to film as it starts to get dark, so if we are needing to see what we are doing as we might still be filming in the dark we would need to be able so these flash lights would guide us when filming if it gets too dark.

We would also need spare costumes. This is because we might not be able to shoot in our planned clothing, or they could get damaged at least we would have spare clothing, with this in mind we also need our planned clothing for our characters to wear during filming.

The other equipment that we shall be needing is the filming schedule. This will be used to help out the directors for when they are needing to know what is happening when the filming is taking place, so they know what shots are happening and how long they are going to go on for, so needing this is a vital resource that we shall need.
Sound Planning

For our sound planning we have decided to involve the use of an old Nursery Rhyme that our little girl could be singing near the end as our title appears.
Below is the examples of the sounds that we would like to use in our horror opening:

The Video is called "Creepy Itsy Bitsy Spider by Jade Brown...

We have decided to use this sound because we are going to use this song at the end of our horror opening and by doing this it brings the idea of how innocent and how the past connects with her giving more of a response for the audience.
By doing this it is we are going to bring this music in for when the title of the film appears at the very end.
So, this is how it is going to be done; we are going to have the close up of the knife that the silhouette male is going to be holding and as the camera focuses on the knife we shall have where blood shall be dripping of the knife. By doing this the camera will focus on to this and then our company production name shall appear within the blood which is going to be "Archangel Productions".
Finally, when the title of our film the "Hunted" the music shall begin to play and because the music is at least 27 seconds but we shall be cutting the sound down as the title will not be up for long.

To use this sound that we have choose to include at the end, we have to credit the person who has created this video on YouTube who is "Jade Brown" Thank you for letting us use this video sound in our project.

Therefore, this is the sounding that we would like to use as at the beginning with the girl singing a nursery rhyme, she will be using her voice to sing so no sounds will be used and this is going to be our only music that will be involved as planned so far, this will appear with the title at the end of our opening.

Below is also the sound music we would like playing within the background of most of our opening, this is because of the slow paste this has and with this being slow it is building up more tension. Also with the sense of this we are seeing that is is a down and say long pasting sound which fits in with how our horror opening is going to be going through, the idea of slowness, tension building and to be able to build up the mystery within the opening. So therefore we can see that we have chose this sound for most background music within the opening because of the use of links it has with our opening to our horror.
The video to this is below this...
